Huayna Cowl - Knitting Kit

I had to give this yarn a try after reading so many rave reviews and as importantly, after looking at all of the projects. So many great patterns! I decided to get two of the Huyana Cowl kits to make for my daughters to test it out so, I ordered and patiently awaited its arrival. Delivery was a bit longer than I expected but then, I was also anxiously awaiting this as if it were Christmas! Once it delivered, I wasted no time in opening and pulling out the yarn first thing to experience the softness and fluffiness to know what to expect when I started knitting. It was everything I expected and more - the one big take away I have from working with this yarn aside from the ease and comfort in knitting with it due to the light and airy weight and softness of it, was the ease in winding it! I was prepared for having to do this with care like other yarn hanks I have worked with and all of the frustrations of tangling. Not even one bit of this occurred with the Andean Spirit yarn. I was so impressed and so quickly ready to start my project. The needles are simple but nice and well made. Mine were marked with a 9 on the end but, measure a 10 as listed for the pattern. Knitting with this yarn is really so enjoyable. I can see that my stitches were more even and consistent and again, with how light weight it is, it was very easy to work with. I should add, just because it is lightweight, does not mean it is not warm - absolutely the opposite - the fibers combined with the cloud touch technology make a very effective barrier to cold weather in the coziest of ways. This yarn is great for making wearable accessories - I really, really want to make a sweater and already envision myself wearing it when cold weather returns! - and of course, would make a fantastic blanket. The cowl pattern is a great beginner pattern that would make a good travel project to take on a road trip. I fully recommend this kit and yarn - and would definitely purchase again - I hope to see more colors, patterns, and yarn weights in the future. I can’t wait to give these to my daughters and am already prepared for requests for more items.

Here is a sweater I just completed! Love this yarn!

This yarn is so very soft. I have been undergoing chemo and mastectomies. The chemo dehydrated me so much it caused numbing in my fingers and feet. I also lost my fingerprints,for awhile. Working with this yarn is,amazingly soft. I have been through a lot the last 7 monthscand this yarn id pure joy. I can't wait at night to sit down and run this through my fingers. I had bought many skeins of the ivory. I loved it so much I had to come back for the charcoal and orange. Now I need the light grey and black 8 skeins of it! Love this yarn! I think I will make a nice warm sweater for fall.

There’s nothing better than coming home to some squishy mail!! This yarn is SO soft and light! It’s going to be perfect for the cardigan I’m planning to make with it! I can’t wait to cast on. I love the little thank you card included!!

I have totally fallen in love with this yarn.
Couldn’t wait to start on a sweater, as soon as it arrived.
The little flexs of orange in the charcoal makes a very interesting pop and I just know this will be my ”go to” sweater! Think I have to get another color as well for a second sweater!
